What a difference a decade makes! Just 10 years ago, Lynda Weatherman, now president and CEO of the Economic Development Commission of Florida Space Coast, was in the midst of attempting to determine how best to salvage her region after the brutal Great Recession. Today, the Space Coast is thriving, home to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, L3Harris Technologies, Blue Origin’s Rocket Assembly Plant, OneWebb’s Satellite manufacturing facility, and, of course, the launch operations of ubiguitous SpaceX with its continuous barrage of launches. Life is good in Brevard County today, boding even better for Central Florida’s tomorrow.
