The post-COVID environment has left its mark – first, with the “Great Resignation,” then demands to work remotely, and now talk of a four-day work week. A new test in the U.K. with thousands of employees working for 70 companies will monitor the productivity and well-being of employees working four days for the same pay. The most recent test is conducted by Cambridge University, Oxford University and Boston College and is the last in several decades of tests across the world which appear to establish that a four-day work week results in the same or better performance with higher levels of satisfaction and well-being for employees.
