Selling and Telling

, , Comments Off on Selling and Telling

Selling and Telling are two different things. When I sell, I have an agenda. When I tell, I don’t. Selling doesn’t respect who you are as a person. Telling respects who you are as a person, but almost invariably delays the response. If I sell, I get immediate gratification. If I tell, I delay immediate gratification, but I increase the chances of recurring gratification. Selling and Telling are tradeoffs, based on who you are, who you want to be be, what you want to accomplish, and how you want to be perceived.
