The German philosopher, Schelling, in his book called “System of Transcendental Idealism,” said: “History as a whole is a progressive, gradually self-disclosing revelation of the absolute.” In that book, in the spring of 1800, he created the clearest formulation of evolutionary spirituality where the concept was not that we had fallen away from God, but that God was in fact disclosing himself through evolutionary history.
