Population Increases are Worth Noting

I happened to be doing a little reading a while ago and came across my notes.

In 1915, the population of the United States was 100 million. In 1967, 52 years later, it was 200 million. By 2006, 33 years later, we had added another 100 million. It is now projected that by 2046, we will add yet another 100 million.

When I started in business, the population of the United States was somewhere in the order of 230 million. The country has added 70 million people while I’ve been out there operating in business. And it’s going to add another 100 million in just four more decades.

As business people, we try to become more efficient each day. On the other hand, we can’t ignore the fact that the greater population has to provide huge opportunities for us.
