$1 TRILLION ECONOMY. Last week: A series of recent economic reports punctuated the strength of the our economy. According to this past week’s UCF Forecast, the Florida economy is expected to expand at an average annual rate of 2.9 percent through 2019, far faster than the U.S. GDP. In a recent study for the U.S. Conference of Mayors, the Orlando MSA ranked the 30th largest economy in the country and the 87th largest worldwide, stronger than Arkansas, Nebraska, Mississippi, and several countries. While Brexit might have shaken up world markets, it is of consequence to note the power of what is projected to be by 2019 our $1.07 trillion GSP, placing Florida No. 16 in World Bank Rankings.
