Orlando Sentinel’s Central Florida 100: RESPITE

As we begin to shelter in place, and the world shuts down around us, I am finding some solace in the opportunity to spend more time at home. We go to sleep when we’re tired; don’t wake up to an alarm; enjoy intimate time with the family streaming Netflix Originals together, and I sit at in my home office, thinking and working, when I need to. It feels strange, recognizing the devastation on families worldwide and on the global economy, but somehow the world coming to a halt seems to have given me permission to let go of what I can’t control and slow down too.
