The acquisition of Jewett Orthopedic by Orlando Health in order to build a $250 million orthopedic hospital in downtown Orlando is not trivial at any level. Ranked fourth in the nation in orthopedic surgery, Orlando Health can now addon the eight locations, 25 orthopedic physicians and 13 advanced practitioners responsible for generating some 250,000 patient visits to Jewett each year. And the additional multimillion dollar joint hospital, targeting the lucrative aging boomer population focused on remaining active with healthy knees and hips, will bring Central Florida a world-class asset worthy of our community.
