From “don’t say gay” to “critical race theory,” in the Alice in Wonderland of today’s modern Florida, things appear to be getting “curiouser and curiouser!” Florida’s Department of Education rejected 42 math books out of 132 because, apparently, the texts contained “critical race theory,” “social emotional learning” and other “prohibited topics” or “unsolicited strategies.” Publisher McGraw Hill was dumbfounded. The governor was unwilling to specify for public review those offensive portions of the textbooks, but there it lies. Were this type of ideology not dangerous, it would actually be laughable. What’s next for Florida?
