Champlain towers south Miami

The tragedy which killed 100 residents and destroyed the lives of countless families has triggered a task force by the Florida Bar to examine whether legal reforms are necessary to Florida condominium board law and regulations on construction and maintenance of condos. Condominiums are parcels of real estate, usually in a multi-story building, legally titled to separate owners, but managed by a single board, often leading to conflicted decision-making, as it did with the Champlain Towers South collapse. While there should be no rush to judgment, the time is at hand for an examination of a popular but troubled form of real-estate ownership.
