Orlando Sentinel’s Central Florida 100: AIRPORT GRIDLOCK

I came across an interesting comment the other day. A user mentioned he no longer flies via MCO to visit their Disney timeshare but instead prefers landing in Tampa. Having returned from a weekend trip via MCO, Janet and I completely understand. MCO needs help. Incessant congestion and limited parking are significant travel barriers. Per recent data, roughly 1.85 million more airplane seats came through the airport in Q1 2022 compared to Q1 2021. MCO opened a new Lot C early this year, but that too has become perpetually occupied. Tourism continues to rise in Central Florida – let’s make sure we keep up by solving this gridlock.
