If you’ve read LIB for any length of time, you know I enjoy Kathleen Parker’s wit and insights. This particular column on “Obi-Wan Barack” is clearly tongue-in-cheek, but she does put her finger on a quintessential component of the movement behind Barack at this point manifesting itself in an intensity which, if unchecked, will sweep him into the presidency in November. The cultural undertone of the tidal wave Barack is creating is clearly at this juncture far more compelling than Barack’s underlying politics or policies. While that’s not necessarily bad, Kathleen Parker’s observations help to put the scenario into focus. Enjoy.
