A Special Birthday

, , Comments Off on A Special Birthday

For my birthday, my sweethearts gave me a card telling me what we were going to do over the long Labor Day weekend, all three days (four days, including Friday evening family night) for my birthday.

They included all of the things they knew I enjoyed doing and, all of that unfolded with some pluses and minuses.

However, as I looked back on the weekend, getting ready to go back to work, it occurred to me that although I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary for my birthday, everything was special. In fact, it was so special that I realized that I play out virtually every single weekend what we did this weekend as my “special birthday.”

I wasn’t sure what that means. Am I just incredibly lucky? Is it that I’ve learned to enjoy what I do each weekend with the family, or that I live out each weekend in the way I do because I enjoy doing it exactly that way.

Either way, I feel incredibly blessed that my special birthday was not out of the ordinary at all.

Aloha Larry and Janet –

Was so glad to come across this site. Read many of your postings. We have been through some tough times and identify with your thoughts on having dependable friends. Your opportunity through the ACFA has been a bright spot in troubled times. Our work continues in the VC business. Noticed some changes in the response, accessibility and reliability of the ACFA site. Having read some of these posts I am understanding some of what may be going on. We want to express our appreciation to you. Wish you a memorable holiday season and business success that you have yet reached for 2010.
